Talk to Waterstones in Woking who sound positive. Join Contact an Author (www.contactanauthor.co.uk) which I read about in The Author. It will be interesting to see if anything comes from it – it seems to be a forum where people find authors to speak at various events. Printers now say the book won’t be available until the END of next week – I was panicking about it being the beginning and now its even later. There must be some lesson here – hard to see it though. Do some cottage-industry therapy and stick blurbs onto the back of postcards which I send to a kind friend near Oxford who is going to dot them around various august institutions.
