I was away from my computer yesterday. BUT in the morning had checked with the printer that they could open the book files ok. Evidently there is one photograph on p.11 that is in the wrong format – but they can adjust it. I drive to Abingdon to stay with a friend and visit the two independent bookshops – Mostly Books and the Book Store – both seem interested. When I get back on Saturday (having been to Nomad Books in Fulham Road), I have a message from Max at Daunts to say Louise T. Blouin no longer doing talks – that’s rather a disappointment. However I have rather an encouraging e-mail from Margot saying the press are expressing interest. John Swannell has kindly said that I can use his photograph for publicity purposes.
