National Gallery

At the moment I am spending Tuesdays drawing in the National Gallery – a course run by the Princes Drawing School. Last Tuesday I sat in front of paintings by Rogier van der Weyden, Hans Memling and a painting attributed to Durer. This is my rendition of Rogier van der Weyden’s The Magdalen Reading – a fragment from around 1438. Frustrating not to know what the rest of the painting was like!
